Product Showcase
A TikTok feature that lets creators tag specific products from their TikTok Shop directly within a video, making the product instantly shoppable with a tap.
Product Showcase is TikTok’s in-video product tagging feature. When a creator links a product from a TikTok Shop to their video, a small shopping bag icon appears on screen. Viewers tap it, see the product listing, and can add to cart without leaving the video. The product is “showcased” inside the content rather than requiring the viewer to navigate elsewhere.
The Simple Version
Product Showcase turns a regular TikTok video into a shopping experience. You are watching someone demonstrate a kitchen tool, the shopping bag icon pulses at the bottom of the screen, you tap it, and the product listing pops up. Add to cart. Check out. Done. You barely interrupted what you were doing.
For sellers, Product Showcase is what makes organic content into a sales engine. Every video a creator posts, whether it is a creator affiliate or your own account, can carry a shoppable product link directly in the content.
How It Works
Sellers link their TikTok Shop to their TikTok account. When creating or editing a video, they can tag one or more products from their shop catalog. Those product tags become the shopping bag icon visible to viewers. Creator affiliates can also add your products to their own videos after being approved through your Open Affiliate Plan.
Why It Matters
Product Showcase removes the biggest friction point in social commerce: the redirect. Old social commerce required clicking a link in bio, going to a website, navigating to a product, and checking out in a different interface. Product Showcase collapses that entire journey to a tap, a product view, and a purchase, all inside TikTok. That reduction in friction is one reason TikTok Shop conversion rates have surprised advertisers who assumed social commerce could not compete with intent-based platforms like Amazon.
